Including the care for people and the environment in its operation strategy, Polpharma implemented the Integrated Environmental and OSH Management System. Compliance with this system with the international standards was confirmed by the ISO 14001 (environmental protection), as well as OHSAS 18001 and PN-N-18001 (BHP) certificates.

 

The ISO 14001 Standard was created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and is based on three notions: continuous improvement, prevention of pollution and compliance with the legal requirements. A company that operates in accordance with ISO must identify all the impacts on the environment together with the triggering aspects and then undertake improving activities in the respective critical areas.

 

The OHSAS certification system was created by the international standardization and certification organization. This standard has its counterpart in Poland in the form of the PN-N-18001 standard. The OHSAS 18001 certificate confirms that the company management system meets the best practices in the area of occupational safety and health.
