The Competition

According to the intention of the founders, every year the Foundation announces a competition for the best research projects in the field of pharmaceutical and medical sciences. Those works evaluated highest by the reviewers and which receive the recommendation of the Scientific Council are awarded scientific grants. Since the beginning of its activity the Foundation has organised eight editions of the competition with more than 300 research projects submitted. The majority of them have been concerned with basic research. Scientific grants have been awarded to 40 research teams from academic centers and scientific institutes. All of the financial resources for the Foundation’s statutory activity come from the budget of Pharmaceutical Works Polpharma S.A. The company has already donated 14 million PLN for this purpose. more

We help young scientists

The Foundation intends to provide scholarships and awards not only in recognition of former achievements but also as an inducement to pursue scientific work.

Scholarship program

In 2006 the Foundation launched a scholarship program addressed to postgraduate students of medical universities and the Medical Centre of Postgraduate Education. The aim of this program is to promote and award the most talented postgraduate students with scientific achievements. The awards are scientific grants, donated from the budget of the Foundation, worth 10 thousand PLN each.

Award of the Foundation

The Foundation founds 1st award worth 5 thousand PLN in the All-Poland Competition for MA Theses from Pharmaceutical Departments. This competition has been organized by the Polish Pharmaceutical Society for over 40 years.
