The Polpharma Foundation received the Honorary Pearl in the ranking by Polish Market and the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), in the category of the dissemination of social values.
At the Royal Castle in Warsaw, the Pearls of Polish Economy were awarded for the sixth, and the Honorary Pearls – for the third time. The ranking is organized jointly by the Polish Market publishing house and the Institute of Economic Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN). The Honorary Pearls are awarded in the following categories: economy, science, culture, dissemination of Polish traditions and patriotic values, and dissemination of social values. The Foundation for the Development of Polish Pharmacy and Medicine received the award in the last of the categories.
The Pearl was handed over to Agata Łapińska, a Member of the Management Board of the Foundation and RX Marketing Director in Polpharma, by Krystyna Woźniak-Trzosek, the Editor-in-Chief of Polish Market. Elżbieta Radziszewska, a Member of Parliament from the Civic Platform (PO), gave a brief but very kind laudatory speech. The MP, herself a physician by education, stated that she felt delighted and satisfied to present such an honorable distinction to the Foundation, whose purpose is to support not only scientific research in the field of medicine and pharmacy, but also young academics, students of doctoral studies at medical universities. She added that she was also pleased to see that the activities of the Foundation had been noticed and awarded.
