12 medals for the Polish team
The final and official closure of the 28th Winter Universiade in Almaty has just ended. We have reasons for pride and joy as the Academic Polish national team, sponsored by Polpharma, won a total of twelve medals.
Our athletes won five gold, two silver and five bronze medals. Poland took fifth place in the overall classification, participated by 26 countries. The top of the medal table was reached by the Russians, who took over the teams of Kazakhstan and South Korea.
We’d like to congratulate of the sporting spirit, commitment and passion to all representatives, and a great success to Polish medalists. We wish you more such good sports results. The next Winter Universiade will be held in 2019 in Krasnoyarsk, Russia.
