Polpharma at the top of the 12th Ranking of Socially Responsible Companies
Polpharma has been declared winner in the 12th Ranking of Socially Responsible Companies. This is the first time in the history of the ranking that a Polish company won the top place. What's more, Polpharma scored the maximum possible number of points.
The second and third places were taken by Schenker and Polska Grupa Energetyczna. Polpharma also took first place in the “consumer goods and pharmacy” category, ahead of Coca-Cola and CCC.
The Ranking of Socially Responsible Companies is the only ranking of companies on the Polish market, which evaluates the quality of their CSR management. A total of 211 companies were assessed. This year, the ranking was run by the Koźmiński Business Hub with the Responsible Business Forum and Global Compact Network Poland as substantive partners. Deloitte verified the data and Dziennik Gazeta Prawna was the media partner.
Polpharma's success is testimony to the enormous effort over the last few years to raise the company's standards. The policy of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development have become an integral part of its management. The CSR Strategy of the Polpharma Group was formulated, based on three pillars: service to patients and society; ethical business; and innovation and research. All branches of the organisation have been involved in its implementation. Advanced programs have also been put in place, such as the Ethics Program or the Sustainable Supply Chain, as well as many initiatives launched in cooperation with the company's stakeholders: employees, suppliers, patients, scientists and local communities.
