Polpharma employees are eager to help others and determined to live our company’s motto “People helping people”.
In 2013, we implemented an Employee Volunteering Program at all Polpharma locations in Poland. The program is a grant competition and provides co-funding to 20 most interesting project ideas proposed by our employees. Projects may be submitted in the following categories: health and prevention, quality of life improvement, education and equal opportunities, humanitarian aid, local development and ecology. In the 1st edition of the Programme, 100 volunteers from the Polpharma Group completed voluntary work to support a variety of centers and organizations which, in total, provide care to more than 1000 beneficiaries. In 2014 ended the second edition of the Program. 157 volunteers renovated few care centers and organized educational campaigns.
Additionally, as part of our volunteering initiative, each year about 100 marketing and sales managers renovate a care center of their choice. Some of the facilities renovated so far include the Child and Family Support Centre in Michalin and the Occupational Therapy Workshop building in Tomaszów Mazowiecki. Our volunteers also improved a square in Biała Rawska used for rehabilitation of disabled persons, and fitted out several rooms in the newly built Maternity Home in Ełk.
During Christmas season, our employees answer the requests that children in children’s homes, foster families and child care facilities make in their letters to Santa Claus. In 2007-2013, the employees of the Polpharma Group sponsored nearly 1,300 individually addressed gifts.
